Korea has many tourist attractions, such as experience centers to make and try things and traditional markets filled with unique vibes to experience traditional Korean culture. As interest in Korea increases, more and more foreign tourists are making their way to Korea. As a part of this, today we'll be recommending two tourist locations in Pyeongtaek!
[ Sudosa Temple ]
Firstly, we'll introduce two places at a temple called Sudosa in Pyeongtaek. The first is the Great Master Wonhyo Enlightenment Center. The Great Master Wonhyo Enlightenment Center is an experience center based on Korea's history. Inside the center, a detailed explanation on figures such as the biography and records of the Silla monk, Wonhyo is provided. If you go inside the Underground Cave Experience Center, you can experience Wonhyo's enlightenment. You'll be able to concentrate and see more because of the video clip of the Silla monk Wonhyo drinking water out of a skull. After the experience center, there'll be a brief explanation of Korean temple food that is eaten in Buddhism which would be good to learn more about Korean food! Please note when visiting, that the Great Master Wonhyo Enlightenment Center is closed every Monday!
Next is staying in Pyeongtaek Sudosa Temple. Because Koreans often stay at a Buddhist temple to relax and calm one's mind, you can request such an experience for however long you want. Templestay is very reflective of Korean culture so it's also recommended as a program where foreigners can engage in Korean temple food during their visit :)
The Great Master Wonhyo Enlightenment Center and templestay programs may not be operating due to COVID-19, so please check prior to visiting!

Next is Chorok Miso Village, a place where nature and animals live and breathe together and is good to bring your children with to. You can harvest crops, make tofu, natural soap and have other various experiences at the Healing Garden. You can also feed birds, insects and small animals there. There is a rice bran enzyme therapy experience using the natural heat from fermenting Korea's staple, rice, provided so please come and make some enjoyable memories with your children!
Experience Korean culture as it is at the Pyeongtaek experience centers, make memories and fall in love with Korea's charms! Please do not forget that you must wear a mask when visiting due to COVID-19!
