How to Properly Mount Your Bicycle and Avoid Getting Fined!

Pyeongtaek is famous for its cycling routes, having many bicycle owners in the city as a result. Often, when people find it hard to make it to a cycling destination by riding, they either put the bicycle in the car or use bicycle racks to carry them. However, it is always important to use the bicycle racks correctly!

When you are mounting a bicycle rack on your car, you must make sure your license plate isn’t covered; covering the license plate will lead the driver to pay a ticket, and the same law applies regardless of the driver carrying a bicycle or not. As simply covering the license plate with the rack may lead you to a charge of penalty fee, never forget to remove the bicycle rack when you are not using it! Please note that violations may cost you from 100,000 won all the way to 500,000 won.
