A popular treat in Korea during the hot summers is ‘bingsu’. Bingsu is a dessert made with shaved ice. The traditional recipe of bingsu usually includes injeolmi (rice cake coated with powdered beans) and red beans. Recently, a number of cafes developed unique bingsus to satisfy their customers’ need. Today, we will introduce the Cafe KongStyle 1012 that offers various types of Korean bingsus.
The traditional Korean bingsu is enjoyed by men and women of all ages. In addition to the traditional bingsu, KongStyle offers a wide variety of other bingsus. You will be able to find Chocolate Bingsu, Green Tea Bingsu, Blueberry Cheese Bingsu, Strawberry Fruit Bingsu, and Tiramisu Bingsu for the younger generations looking for new and fun flavors.
The most popular menu of the Cafe KongStyle 1012 is the strawberry fruit bingsu. It is topped with not only strawberries but also seasonal fruits (bananas, green grapes, apples, pineapples, etc.), ice cream, cereals, and strawberry syrup. The shaved ice under toppings is made by frozen milk so you should mix ice and toppings well before having the first bite. In addition to bingsu, the KongStyle 1012 sells various beverages and desserts like honey bread.
The KongStyle 1012 opens from 10 a.m. to midnight everyday. But please remember that the closing time may change depending on the social distancing rules! Come cool down in the hot summer with a bowl of bingsu.
