Korean Dessert Cafe: A Hot Place to Cool Down [PIEF Foreign Reporter]

I tried a new dessert called ‘bing su’ and it was so delicious. Miji and I went to Korean Dessert Café to try their desserts and I’m so glad I went. They have towering desserts made from shaved frozen milk. The café even had blankets in case you get too chilled while eating their frozen dessert. As well as a phone charging station and free WiFi. The covid check in was easy all you need to do is call a phone number to check your number in. The menus were in color pictures with English and Korean descriptions. There is also a free water station with hand sanitizer to help mitigate the spread of COVID.

We tried the Oreo Brownie ice flake dessert. It was piled high with cocoa powder, Oreo chunks, brownie squares, and cheesecake squares. The initial presentation was so pretty, but the best way to eat it is to pour condensed milk all over and then stir it up to mix all the flavors. The portion size of the ice flake dessert is big enough to share between 2-3 people and each.

Miji and I also tried the churro dessert. They have two flavors, chocolate and vanilla. Since we had already chosen the chocolate and Oreo dessert we chose the vanilla churro. The portion size was smaller, appropriate for one person, but they tasted so good! I recently moved from Texas and eating these churros felt like going home. I’m excited to go back and share this dessert experience with my whole family.

This café is located near Lotte Cinema in Pyeongtaek. This address will get you very close to the café. There is parking out front, and you can easily park an American car in the lot.
