Wild Grass Café is a local favorite and features many beautiful and tasty drink options. This rustic brick café has no exterior sign, so if you are not on the lookout, you might miss it! Wild Grass Café is located by Hankwang High School in a quiet part of town. You can usually find street parking close by. Otherwise, if you park a little farther away you can enjoy a walk along the beautiful tree-lined streets. The café has two large exterior front doors and colorful outdoor seating that creates the perfect photo opportunity.

Once you are inside, the decor includes plants, books, and various types of seating to enjoy the sunlight and breeze the windows allow in. Located at the back of the cafe are the baristas and pastry counter. As you approach the counter, a Covid-19 sign-in sheet is handy and the menu has an English translation, so ordering is easy and quick! The hardest part about ordering is deciding which delicious drink option you want to try!

After you ordered, you can find a spot to sit either outside, in the main part of the café, the sunroom, or the beautiful hidden basement section. The barista will find you wherever you decide and bring your order on a tray when it is ready.

Basement Seating and Decor |
I visited this café on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and it was buzzing with university students studying, couples on dates, and families connecting. I chose to enjoy my Mocha Latte in the Wild Grass Basement. The temperature was nice and cool, so it was a great spot to enjoy a hot drink! The basement has a modern design twist with concrete and wooden tables and benches. The Mocha Latte was an excellent treat and reminded me of a Mocha I would get back in the states. The Mocha was almost too beautiful to drink, but after capturing a photo, I couldn't resist and drank the warm chocolatey coffee treat!
