[Good Restaurant] Frozen Pork Belly Restaurant (Seoul Sikdang) 서울식당

Seoul Sikdang is a Good Restaurant guaranteed by Pyeongtaek City and it offers delicious frozen pork belly. Frozen pork belly (naengdong-samgyeopsal) is different from regular pork belly. How? Unlike regular pork belly, frozen pork belly is very thinly sliced. Many people prefer frozen pork belly over regular pork belly as the former one can be cooked much faster.

Seoul Sikdang is a large restaurant that has many tables. The restaurant serves menus including geupnaeng-samgyeopsal (frozen pork belly), dwaeji-bulbaek (pork bulgogi), chadolbagi (beef brisket), hangjeongsal (pork neck), etc. Side menus include doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), gochujang-jjigae (red pepper paste stew), naengmyeon (cold noodles), bibim-guksu (spicy noodles), ramyeon, etc.

When your order is placed, you will be served with side dishes such as sliced and seasoned green onions, seasoned lettuce, gyeran-mari(rolled omelet), perilla leaf, lettuce, tofu, kimchi, garlic, ssamjang (sauce), chili peppers, garlic, salt and sesame oil, jeotgal (salted seafood), etc. Please note that depending on circumstances, side dishes may be subject to change. The best way to enjoy frozen pork belly is to cook it at medium heat. Using high heat can cause the meat to become dry and easily burned!

While cooking the meat, add some minced garlic, minari (water dropwort) and shishito peppers on the grill as they can spice up the taste of the meat. Place the kimchi and sliced green onions on the edges so that they can be well-cooked. Black pepper is also available, so sprinkle some on top of the pork belly to enjoy a different taste!

Seoul Sikdang is open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and is closed on Tuesdays. Seoul Sikdang has a big parking lot so you do not have to worry about parking!
