Do you have a loved doggo in your life? Then Simkoong Snacks is a great place to go. You can set an appointment before you go and choose what type of treat you want to make. My Maggie Mae loved hers! I chose to make the dog treat sushi and my partner made tarts for her puppy.
I love the ingredients, everything was fresh, I minced the chicken breast myself, we added great things like pumpkin powder and bell peppers to make the different parts of the dog treat sushi. Our instructor was very hands on and was there to guide us through the process. I was able to spread out the pureed chicken and then put in the center ingredients and roll up my ‘sushi’ it was a little difficult to make sure the roll was tight enough, but we got it! Our instructor then took my two rolls into the back to bake them. While we were waiting for the treats I was making to bake I helped my partner decorate her tarts. I had a blast making cute faces and patterns in the tarts.
When my sushi was done cooking, we let it cool for a bit and then I cut it into and had perfect slices.
This shop has great pre-made treats for dogs as well as adorable dog costumes and bad weather gear for your puppers.
When I got home I gave Maggie Mae her treats and she loved them! She did eat around the vegetables, but since we mixed the pumpkin into the chicken she was able to get some great extra vitamin and minerals.
This shop is located just outside of the Songtan Entertainment District and easy to find on the corner before the 4-9 market. The treats are reasonably priced my sushi treat cost W29,000 and the tart treat cost W21,000 and we made enough for a few weeks of treats.
