Five Tips to Help You Get Ready For the Fall Season

Korea has officially entered the autumn season, which means cooler weather, the countryside gets sprinkled with a palette of Autumn hues, and the constant scent of roasted chestnuts fill the crisp air. Though the fall could be considered one of Korea's most pleasant seasons, it is essential to properly prepare for the changes bound to us by nature's seasonal shifts. Here are some tips on how to stay happy and healthy during this autumn season.

Stay Warm
Fall is the best season to get a cold. Even with a single-degree basal body temperature drop, the production of immune cells decreases by 30%. Therefore, to maintain the proper body temperature, always wear warm outerwear clothing such as a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt to avoid getting sick with severe temperature shifts.

Getting Sufficient Sleep and Exercise Exercising two to three times weekly helps keep a healthy blood circulation flow and assists in getting a good night's sleep for up to seven to eight hours.

Keep Hydrated & Eat Healthy It is recommended to drink at least 2 liters of water daily to stay sufficiently hydrated and replenish your body's moisture that can lessen due to seasonal dryness. Always eat healthy and filling foods to maintain a balanced diet.

Bathe Yourself with Vitamin D! Exposing yourself to at least 30 minutes of daily sunlight is the best way to stir up your natural serotonin levels and produce Vitamin D intake, which helps balance everything within the body.

Proper and Frequent Ventilation Maintain lowered indoor temperature and humidity levels through constant and regular air ventilation. It is recommended to maintain the indoor temperatures at around 20 °C to 22 °C (68 °F ~ 72°F) and humidity levels at about 50% to 60%.
