PIEF is scheduled to hold its third annual ‘Language Festival’ in November. The event consists of a ‘Korean-English Speaking Contest’ that anyone and everyone is invited to participate in.
This year’s speaking contest’s chosen topic is ‘Myself in 20 Years’ and can be performed through one of the following methods selected by the participants: a speech, poem reciting, singing a song, or Korean dubbing.
Elementary, middle, or high school students from any school within Korea are eligible to participate in the English Language Contest, and any foreigner adults and students (elementary, middle, or high school) residing in Korea are eligible to register to participate in the Korean Language Contest.
Those who wish to participate must register and send in a typed manuscript and a video of their speech, which will be evaluated and screened by PIEF to select the final contestants who will be eligible to participate in the festival’s speaking contest.
The registration deadline is November 4, and the contestant short list will be announced on November 14 via PIEF’s website (link below). The main contest is scheduled for November 26(Sat) starting at 9 AM. Registrants can submit their registration manuscript and video files to the following email: pief_speech@naver.com.
Contest participants also have a chance to win a cash prize ranging from 100,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW!
