When it seems like you’re viewing the world with a pink filter on, we can really fully embrace that it is spring. The period may be short, but cherry blossom outings are popular spring trips enjoyed by all ages. 

With that being said, we have prepared a list of the spots the locals visit to enjoy the beautiful weather and flowers!

Before going any further, here is a map of the spots that will be introduced in this post.


For convenience, spots will be categorized based on their administrative district (left to right within district).

[ Western Pyeongtaek ]

Pyeongtaek-ho Tourist Complex (평택호관광단지)
This spot is a popular year-round and known for its water activities, but did you know it is also a hot spot during the spring for its flowers?

[ Southern Pyeongtaek ]
Eunhye-ro (은혜로)
Eunhye-ro is probably the most popular spot in Pyeongtaek. This road leading to Kookje University and Eunhye Middle/High School is filled with cherry blossom trees and form a tunnel when fully bloomed.

Oseong Riverside Road (오성강변)
This is a popular driving spot so there is no pinpoint address, but for reference, it is the road past Paengseong Bridge (near Camp Humphreys' Yoon Gate /at the 3-way intersection, you can go left or right to view cherry blossoms) & the road cafe Archive is on.

[ Northern Pyeongtaek ] 
Tongbokcheon (통복천)
For this is a stream, Korean maps and navigation's only list that it is in Segyo-dong (세교동) but you can refer to the Naver Map's link below!

Deokdongsan Neighborhood Park(덕동산 근린공원)
Pyeongtaek is known for being a very flat city so there are no high mountains, but this spot is nice to go for a stroll and enjoy the outdoors!

Sosabeol Lesports Town (소사벌레포츠타운)
The sporting facility itself is not a popular cherry blossom spot, but the road towards it is. You could enjoy the view while driving or park at the sports complex and take a stroll.

Baedari Ecological Park (배다리생태공원)
Baedari Ecological Park is a park that is frequently visited by locals, but did you know it also a popular cherry blossom spot?

Pyeongtaek University (평택대학교)
Pyeongtaek University is always a popular cherry blossom hot spot visited by many. The university hosts a cherry blossom festival every year as well.
