Cafe Reve: Injeolmi Coffee

If you're looking to explore a new café that hasn't been discovered by others yet, how about visiting Cafe Reve? The owner blends Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea coffee beans in a unique ratio to brew their coffee. The Timor-Leste beans are organically grown and directly harvested from the source for export. While there isn't an official certification for organic, they are classified as naturally wild-grown beans. The taste of their coffee is moderately balanced  with a pleasant sourness, delightful sweetness, and a deep body. It is said that the flavors become even more pronounced when enjoyed as iced coffee.

Cafe Reve's signature menu item is the Injeolmi Coffee (Injeolmi is a type of Korean rice cake with a chewy texture, coated with roasted soybean powder, offering a savory taste). This Injeolmi flavor has gained significant popularity, especially among the younger generation in Korea. Cafe Reve sprinkles Injeolmi powder on top of the coffee, enhancing its richness and sweetness. While it may be a slightly unfamiliar menu item for foreigners, it is currently one of the trendiest flavors in Korea, so we highly recommend giving it a try.

Another popular menu item here is the Garlic Baguette. It is so highly sought after that even on the day we visited for coverage, it had already sold out due to its popularity. It is imported from Aslan Jangsan Dabang, a famous garlic bread bakery in Busan, ensuring its authentic taste.

In addition, they offer various types of bread, including moist and soft scones, cookies with flavors such as yellow cheese, chocolate, and matcha, trendy salt bread, and light and chewy croissants. Cafe Reve provides a serene and clean atmosphere, making it a perfect place for a healing experience.
