Creator’s Insight: Best Thing to Do on a Beautiful Summer Day

Did you know that Pyeongtaek offers a number of free water parks for children? It's the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful summer day and beat the heat!

One of these water parks is Muljanggu Children's Park in Bijeon-dong, located conveniently in the heart of Sosabeol nearby a variety of restaurants, cafes, and even CGV. The park is small but it's a whole lot of fun nonetheless. As soon as you approach the park, you are greeted by the sound of happy children playing and splashing in the water. Their parents relax in the shade nearby, sipping iced lattes and taking precious pictures on their phones. You can even see some families enjoying a small picnic! It's a happy, carefree environment.

There are multiple fountains, slides, and other types of playground equipment to keep the kids occupied for a long time, giving tired parents some crucial time relax and chat. Another important factor is that there are tents for changing clothes as well as bathroom facilities within the park. There are no showers, however. The water at the park runs for 45 minutes at a time and then rests for 15 minutes before starting up again, so don't be concerned if the water is not running when you arrive.

The park is meant for kids under the age of 13, and kids younger than 7 are required to enter with a guardian. Pets are not allowed at the park.

Don't live near Bijeon-dong? Never fear! This is only one of many free water parks around Pyeongtaek. There are others in Segyo-dong, Anjung-ri, and more. But visit quickly, because they are only open until the end of August!
