Do you have cravings for sushi? How about some Ramen? Or even some pork cutlet curry? Japanese food is very prevalent in South Korea. From sushi to curries, the distinct Japanese influences on food have persisted long after the war.
Well, look no further! Just a block away from the main strip of Songtan Entertainment District (SED), also known as Sinjang Shopping Mall, there’s an amazing restaurant named Omoya. With plenty of seating available, including 1st and 2nd-floor seating, as well as patio and bar seating, Omoya can comfortably accommodate large groups of family or friends visiting South Korea for the first time.
It has a pleasant atmosphere and offers great customer service. The food was bursting with flavor, and the wait time was minimal. I ordered some fried oysters and tonkatsu pork cutlet, while my husband ordered the pork miso ramen and shrimp fried rice. We also tried some fried chicken and shrimp nigiri. All I can say is, 'Wow!' The oysters were flavorful and moist, the pork cutlet was cooked to perfection, and the ramen was delicious. The shrimp had a lovely, slightly sweet flavor that paired perfectly with the rice.
Our overall experience at Omoya left us savoring Japan's distinct flavors right in our backyard, and we're left craving more. Not only that, but this location is very convenient for us, just a short walk from Osan AB. We will definitely be coming back for more! So, check them out whenever you are near Osan AB.
