Creator’s Insight: Where Pups Romp and Owners Relax by the Pyeongtaek River, Play Dog Café

Play Dog café is just as it sounds; a café where your pups can play. The majority of this café is outdoors, set up with two areas for your pups to exercise: one is a small dog area, and the other area is for bigger dogs. In order to visit, you will need to pay a small fee per dog (4,000 won per large dog and 3,000 won per small dog) and it is requested that you buy a drink or snack for yourself or a treat for your pups at the kiosk on the covered porch. The kiosk has an option for English speakers which is amazing for those of us who haven’t quite learned Korean yet.

Once you have selected your order, you can enter your phone number or one of the owners will bring your order to you. The owner is absolutely wonderful and runs this café with her husband. Her English is amazing  which is helpful for those of us again who are still learning. The covered area has photo opportunities for your pup with different seasonal backgrounds and fun props for those adorable puppy pictures we all love.

In each dog area, there are several agility objects set up to challenge your pup and multiple dog toys for them to interact with. There are usually always other dog friends to play tug-of-war, fetch, or chase with to get that crazy puppy energy out. My family absolutely loves going here with our friends and our furry children as you will see in the pictures. It is a great way to get your pets outdoor, exercise, and instigate mental stimulation.

The café is open Friday- Sunday from 9am until 7pm however you can request additional days the café is not open for private play sessions with your pup. We hope to see you there!
