The concept was born from the collaboration between Seop, a Le Cordon Bleu Sydney graduate and former Michelin-starred head chef, and Gun, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the food and beverage industry. Together, they created Ok Ryun with a clear mission: to offer guests an elevated Korean barbecue experience without the premium price tag.
A signature highlight at Ok Ryun is the yuzu-marinated pork ribs. These tender cuts are aged for over 72 hours in a house-crafted marinade featuring fragrant yuzu, creating a flavor that is both delicately aromatic and deeply satisfying. The ribs are perfectly paired with Ok Ryun’s distinctive “yukjang” sauce, a rich, savory blend of garlic, fish sauce, and fresh vegetables, slow-simmered for more than six hours to develop its layered, umami-rich depth.
