The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has announced plans to establish its new Pyeongtaek Campus, with construction targeted for completion in 2029. The campus will be located within the Brain City General Industrial Complex, a strategic development zone in Pyeongtaek.
According to city officials, the new campus will serve as a key hub for nurturing talent in AI semiconductor engineering and advancing Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) industries. KAIST is expected to operate a wide range of educational and research programs that support Korea’s growing AI ecosystem and strengthen national competitiveness in high-tech sectors.
Once completed, the KAIST Pyeongtaek Campus is anticipated to become a major catalyst for regional innovation, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and government while contributing to the development of future-focused technologies.
