Pyeongtaek City has officially opened the new Segyo-dong Administrative Welfare Center, enhancing local access to public services and addressing long-standing parking issues in the area. The new building, located on the site of the former office, was completed after two years of construction and represents a major step in the city’s expansion of community-centered administrative infrastructure.
The facility is a three-story complex (with one basement level) that combines administrative, welfare, and resident-oriented spaces. It includes over 120 public parking spaces, an integrated civil service office, a nursing room, a residents’ book café, counseling rooms, multipurpose halls, cultural classrooms, and a large auditorium designed to host various community activities and events.
The new Segyo-dong center also reflects a broader effort by Pyeongtaek to improve local administrative infrastructure. Following this opening, the city has begun construction on a new Dongsak-dong Administrative Welfare Center and Library, which is set to become a combined cultural and community hub by 2028.
