Pyeongtaek's New West Youth Center Offers Free Facilities in Anjung

Korea has long been known for investing in youth culture and community spaces, and Pyeongtaek's newly opened West Youth Center (평택시 서부청소년센터) is a good example of that commitment in action. Located in Anjung-eup, this four-story complex opened just last month and is already drawing young people from across western Pyeongtaek, including Anjung, Poseung, Cheongbuk, Hyeondeok, Oseong, and Godeok.

What makes it particularly noteworthy is that all facilities are free to use. Open to anyone aged 9 to 24, the center offers a wide range of spaces across its four floors. The first floor features an open lounge area with high ceilings, a play zone with Nintendo and PlayStation 5 consoles, a karaoke room with regularly updated song lists, and a study zone. The second floor houses a computer room, beauty and art room, cooking and baking room, media room, and board game zone. The third floor includes a VR experience zone, classrooms, and a youth counseling and welfare center. The fourth floor is home to a music practice room, dance studio, and multipurpose hall.

Reservations must be made through Naver Map before visiting. ID verification is required upon entry, and the center is open exclusively to young people between the ages of 9 and 24. Adults are not permitted to enter.
