Laonhaje (라온하제) is a craft studio based in Sinjang-dong that specializes in rattan weaving and glass art. The studio was even featured on KBS 2TV and welcomes both beginners and experienced crafters alike.
Rattan weaving is the studio’s main offering. Its one-day classes cover a wide range of items, including trays, baskets, lamps, and decorative pieces, with prices ranging from 40,000 to 100,000 KRW (averaging around 50,000 KRW). Sessions run for approximately two hours, and all materials are provided. For those who want to explore further, the hobby class (취미반) allows participants to choose three or more projects across weekly sessions with a 10% discount, while the regular class (정규반) follows a structured curriculum from beginner to advanced level over three to four sessions and includes a rattan craft kit upon enrollment.
The studio has recently added glass art to its offerings, using a technique similar to stained glass but more accessible and beginner-friendly. One-day classes, hobby sessions, certification courses, and group bookings are also available for this program.
Group and corporate outings can also be arranged, and the studio has experience hosting sessions for international participants. Reservations can be made through Naver Map.
