Seoul SM Dental Clinic Opens New Branch in Pyeongtaek

Seoul SM Dental Clinic Network has announced the opening of its 12th branch, Seoul SM Dental Clinic Pyeongtaek, marking the latest expansion of its nationwide network specializing in conscious sedation dentistry.

The newly opened clinic will be led by Chief Director Dr. Yoon-Sik Chu, a Seoul National University-trained dentist. The clinic will provide a range of dental services, including dental implants, prosthetic treatment, wisdom tooth extraction, and conscious sedation-based dental care.

Dr. Chu earned his Master’s degree in Dentistry from Seoul National University and previously worked at the Integrated Care Center of Seoul National University Dental Hospital and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. He is also a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and an active member of several professional organizations, including the Korean Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the Korean Academy of Prosthodontics, and the Korean Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology.

Seoul SM Dental Clinic Network has established a nationwide presence by focusing on a standardized conscious sedation dentistry system. With the opening of the Pyeongtaek branch, the network now operates 12 clinics across South Korea.
Conscious sedation is a treatment method that helps patients remain relaxed while maintaining awareness during dental procedures. The approach is often utilized for patients who experience significant anxiety or fear regarding dental treatment.
The Pyeongtaek clinic plans to focus on creating a comfortable treatment environment for implant patients requiring lengthy procedures, as well as individuals who feel burdened by dental care.

According to the network, it recently surpassed 60,000 cumulative conscious sedation dental treatment cases, reflecting its continued efforts to standardize treatment protocols and strengthen patient safety management systems.
