Before taking the subway, you need to check the route of destination. If you have the transportation pass called "T-money," just use it to take a subway. To purchase the single journey ticket from the machine, press the button of your destination. The price is shown in two formats; adult or child. You insert the cash according to your choice and the single journey ticket will be given with the change.
Mark your ticket at the ticket gate and enter to take the subway! Make sure to check the right direction of your destination before taking the train. Check which station comes after your current station and make the right direction of the train. If you are not sure of it, show your destination to somebody around you to ask the right direction of the train.
After getting off at your destination station, don't forget to have your guarantee money refunded from the "deposit refund device"! Put your ticket in the machine and you will have your 500 won refunded. Korean subway lines are clearly classified by color.
