Pyeongtaek has several parks where you can visit with your pet. Here are three great spots for a stroll with your pet that are open for free.
Pyeongtaek Agro-Ecological Park’s Modumaru
First, there is Pyeongtaek Agro-Ecological Park’s Modumaru. Modumaru is a pet playground that operates from 9:30 to 18:00 in summer (March to October) and 9:30 to 17:00 in winter (November to February). All pets must wear a leash when entering and exiting, and waste bags must be discarded only at designated places. Very aggressive dogs may be restricted from entry. Bringing your dog here would help foster sociability.
Paengseong International Community Center
The second place is a dog park in front of the Paengseong International Community Center. The dog park here has a soil ground. When walking your dog here, a dog tag and a leash must be worn. As there is a separate provision for waste disposal, please follow proper manners. Here, your dog can run wild in a spacious area.

Ichung Leports Park
Lastly, Ichung Leports Park is another option. This park has a dog park that allows pets to be accompanied. It’s right next to the badminton court. At the time of entry, the dog owner must be present. Drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and consuming food are prohibited inside the dog park. The entrances are also different for large and small dogs, so please check them carefully beforehand. The park is great for a short stroll, as it offers three hours of free parking.

Petiquette
When you visit a park with your pet, it’s important to show good manners. There’s the word “petiquette,” which combines the words “pet” and “etiquette” to refer to the manners that must be observed when you are with your pet in public places.
When walking your dog, make sure to put on a leash. If your dog is aggressive and may possibly injure other people, a muzzle must be worn. You should also always take dog waste bags and wet wipes when you need to go out with your dog. After your dog relieves themselves, please clean the space properly for the convenience of others. If someone is afraid of your pet, please yield to the side and allow them to walk past safely.
The more you love your pet, let’s be more cautious and observe these “petiquettes.” If we consider and respect others, we can create a better world!
