Walk Along the Field of Silver Grass and Watch the Sunset at Gunmungyo Bridge

Today, we will introduce you to a nice trail near Pyeongtaek Station. It’s Gunmungyo Bridge, with a beautiful sight of silver grass, cosmos flowers, and sunset in autumn. Gunmungyo Bridge stands over Anseongcheon Stream. Underneath the bridge on both sides of the stream, you can find silver grass and cosmos blooming along the walking trails.

In Korea, people travel to appreciate the fields of silver grass and cosmos. It’s great to take a walk and look at the pretty flowers as you spend time with family and friends. The weather is just cool enough to enjoy them before it gets colder.

Gunmungyo Bridge is a 10-15 minute walk from Exit 2 at Pyeongtaek Station. If you are planning to drive, please note that there is no parking space, so you need to find the nearest public parking lot.

Feel free to start walking where you want because the trail doesn’t have a particular starting point. You can ride a bicycle or go fishing in the designated area. This place is not yet widely known and is more of a local secret to the Pyeongtaek residents. Because it doesn’t have many visitors, the risk of contracting COVID-19 is low.

Check out this video of silver grass in full bloom with the backdrop of the sunset.
