Play with Cats at Chakan Goyangi Cafe in Pyeongtaek

In Pyeongtaek, there is a cafe called Chakan Goyangi (“goody kitty”), where you can find cats. There are about 20 cats and 70 board games, so you can have all the fun you want. The cafe is open every day for visitors, but children under age six are limited from entry during weekends and holidays because it gets very crowded inside. The hours are from 12:00 to 22:00, except Mondays when it opens from 12:00 to 18:00. Visitors need to park at a public parking lot nearby as the cafe does not provide any parking space.

The admission is 9,000 won for adults and 8,000 won for students or children. It includes the price of a drink, which can be refilled. To prevent the cat litter from getting on clothes, visitors are provided plastic bags to keep them. With so many cats that have unique characters, it’s interesting enough to just watch them move around.

Cat towers installed up to the ceiling are convenient for the cats to wander around. Of course, any actions that might bother the cats are prohibited. If the cats are sleeping, please don’t touch them.

Chakan Goyangi is great to visit with kids on weekdays. You can watch cats, enjoy drinks, and play lots of games for fun. :)
