Did you know there is a “monster street” with cute murals in Seojeong Village located near Anjeong-ri Ville (area outside Camp Humphreys’ pedestrian gate)? As a community rejuvenation project, paintings were added to decorate the look of the old town. If you are already in the area with your family on a weekend, this place is perfect to swing by to take pictures!
Despite the name, the painted monsters are not scary. Actually, they’re rather cute. The cute vibrant monsters are adored by all visitors, so no need to worry about having a frightened child.
If you visit with your children, why not play a game of I spy? Choose a color and ask them to find monsters of that color! While it’s difficult to hang out with people due to COVID-19, this is a nice place nearby that can bring smiles back to children’s faces.
When you finish the adventure in the mural streets, look for a restaurant called “Seojeong Village Tofu Story.” Operated by Anjeong-ri Village, the restaurant prioritizes the use of locally sourced agricultural products from Paengseong-eup in Pyeongtaek. It’s a must-visit for those who love tofu.
