Enjoy Indoor Fishing at Pyeongtaek Fishing Training Center (낚시훈련소)

In Pyeongtaek, there is a fishing cafe where you can enjoy indoor fishing. It’s called the Fishing Training Center. The admission fee is 10,000 won for adults and 8,000 won for elementary students when paying by credit cards. If you pay with cash, it costs 9,000 won for adults, 8,000 won for middle and high school students, and 7,000 won for elementary students. The payment is processed after fishing is completed. One hour is provided as the base time, and it costs extra if you stay longer.

At Fishing Training Center, you can weigh the fish to enter an event. Those who participate in the events can accumulate points and exchange them for gifts. The center is fully supplied with fishing rods, aprons, and gloves needed for fishing, which can be rented for free.

You can sit around the fish tank at the center and fish. When you receive the fishing rod and bait, bait the fishhook, and wait for the fish. Once captured, fish are placed in the bucket to weigh them. Scan the bracelet to record your score. After weighing, the fish must be returned.

In the end, check the final score to receive your gift. It’s a fun place for kids, too. Fish Training Center is open from 14:00 to 2:00 from Tuesday to Friday, and 12:00 to 2:00 on weekends and holidays. Due to social distancing, the closing times may vary. Try out this place when you want to go fishing. It’s a five-minute walking distance from Pyeongtaek Station.
