Ppanggwa Dangsin is a bakery founded by a master pastry chef, In Jae-hong, in Pyeongtaek (Master In Jae-hong holds the “Korean Master Hand” title, which is given to the best skilled people for a technical field by the Minstry of Labor). The place is very spacious and also has a large parking lot. You can take away coffee or drink and eat inside, which has up to three floors. Pick out the bread of your choice and choose drinks during checkout.
Ppanggwa Dangsin showcases a whole array of baked goods, seven of which are special signature items. The first item is walnut pie, filled with walnuts and red bean paste. It’s similar to hodugwaja or walnut cakes often sold at rest stops in Korea. Panettone is the second, and it is an authentic Italian sweet bread made through a natural leavening process. The third item is mont blanc, a traditional-style sweet pastry.
Milk France is the fourth, which is a crispy baguette filled with sweet condensed milk. A similar bread called ang butter, which is crispy bread with a spread of butter and sweetened red beans, is also popular. The sixth is onion bagels with cream cheese and whipped cream. It can be enjoyed for a couple of days when kept in the refrigerator. The last bread on the list is the garlic baguette. It’s crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The bakery also boasts a wide range of goods, such as cookies and sandwiches. The interesting potato and sweet potato-shaped buns are so adorable.
Ppanggwa Dangsin opens at 8:00 and closes at 22:00 every day. Try this place whenever you crave delicious bread!
