Looking for a place to spend some quality time with your children? Guess what, Pyeongtaek finally has an indoor zoo, the Canyon Park! At Canyon Park, you will be able to meet over 50 species of animals and even get the chance to feed them yourself as a remarkable experience. It costs \17,000 per person over the age of 36 months, but you can visit for a promotional price of \11,900 during weekdays and \13,500 for weekends if you book ahead of time via Naver reservation website (details of the promotion may change, so please check the actual website for a confirmation). If you bring your car, do not forget to register your license plate number at the reception desk for 3 hours of free parking!
You can reserve your spot prior to the visit via Naver, but prepayment is required to do this. To make a reservation you will need to sign up for an account, and the link below will bring you to the reservation page.

As the system only accepts payment through bank transfer or credit cards, it is recommended to ask one of the locals for help. Once the purchase is set, a coupon will be sent to your phone. There will be a machine at the Canyon Park to print out the purchased mobile tickets, and all you need to do is just input your name and phone number into the machine!
Give the ticket to an employee to receive a bracelet, and you will be able to use the QR code that is on the bracelet to make an entrance or exit. If you find these steps too difficult for yourself, you can always just purchase the tickets regularly at the door as well.
Going left from the entrance allows the visitors to experience a horror zone to the zoo, whereas going towards the right from the entrance will bring you to the zoo through a normal hallway. Make your way to the left to walk through horror themed hallways if your kids are a fan of horror!
Here at the Canyon Park’s zoo, they have a variety of animals. In addition to large animals such as birds, horses, turtles, monkeys, and foxes, the zoo is filled with small animals. They even have a station to purchase food to feed the animal yourself for \2,000. You can feed the animals these purchased items using tongs! The employees at the zoo are more than happy to assist you when you need help, so do not be shy!
Following the zoo track will bring you to a convenience store, with a kayaking place ready on the side for a ride. Children and adults can go on together, costing \2,000 per each ride
Last but not least, the zoo finishes its course with a playground for kids. Once you are done with the zoo experience, enjoy the slides, trampoline, and ball pits with your children to make this event an unforgettable one!
Operating hours at the Canyon Park starts at 12 p.m. and closes at 8 p.m. during weekdays, and the hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. during weekends and holidays. Due to COVID-19, Canyon Park is currently closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The closing days will be changed to Tuesdays on the second and fourth week every month once the pandemic ends. If you have a baby of 36 months or younger, make sure to bring a legal document that can prove their age with you for a free entrance!
