Wootdali Culture Village is a facility that has been regenerated through the Cultural Regeneration Project. Before the regeneration, it was an old school named Geumgak Elementary School, which closed in 2000. Here at Wootdali Culture Village, you will be able to find the intact trace of old Korean schools. There are spaces to experience old fashioned school uniforms, and you can even fully embrace the classroom settings by sitting at the desks.
Inside, you are can see items that were used back in the day exhibited to learn a little about Korea's history. Though Wootdali Culture Village may not be a big exhibition to look around, it surely is a place to get a sense of old Korean culture.
In addition, there are numerous cultural experience programs operated in Wootdali Culture Village. Many of these programs are suitable for 20 people or more, including ceramics, calligraphy, traditional experiences, leathercraft, Korean papercraft, Pungmul (Korean folk music), and more.
Wootdali Culture Village is open
Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They
are currently closed on Sundays to practice social distancing. The Village
annually closes on New Year’s Day (January
1st), Seollal (Lunar New Year) holidays, and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) holidays. Free parking spaces are provided in their spacious playfield. Visit Wootdali Culture
Village with your loved ones for a unique experience!
