Camp and Visit the Light Garden at Jinwicheon Amusement Park 진위천 유원지

In Pyeongtaek, there is a campsite at the Jinwicheon Amusement Park. The camping area only operates 50% of its whole area due to the social distancing policy, but it is still famous as a well-known camping spot. Jinwicheon Amusement Park does not only offer the campsite, but also offers rail bikes, kayaks, swimming pool (summer), sledding slope (winter), and more play zones. Please be aware that the services may be limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic (they are currently closed).

Jinwicheon Amusement Park requires an entrance fee per visitor, with the ticket fee varying from 2,000 for adults, 800 for teenagers, and 500 for any younger children. For those who would like to utilize the camping area, we would like to inform you that reservations are not needed nor accepted, and the campsite is fully first-come-first-served. You may enter the camping area between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Each site costs 30,000 per visit, and the visitors are required to check out the next day by 11 a.m. However, if you are a citizen of Pyeongtaek, you can pay a discounted price of 20,000 per site (\10,000 if you live in Jinwi-myeon). To receive the discount, you will be asked for proof of residency. Please note that they accept Korean driver’s licenses and alien registration cards for proof; your address must be listed on your card. In case you miss the check out time, overtime charges may apply with 5,000 for 2 hours or under, 15,000 for 4 hours or under, and 25,000 for anything over 4 hours.

If you drive, keep in mind that you must pay for parking. Parking fees vary from small-sized cars (3,000), medium-sized cars (4,000), and large-sized cars (6,000). The parking ticket expires after 12 a.m. each day, therefore you will have to pay for 2 days worth if you stay overnight at the campsite. To minimize the confusion about fees, we have summarized them for you below.

Once you enter the campsite, and you will receive a garbage bag. All occurring garbage must be thrown away into this garbage bag, with all recycled products and food wastes separately discharged. If the garbage bag you received isn't enough, you can buy extra bags at the ticket office or convenience stores. Since you are allowed to cook on site, get your garbage bags ready!

If you are staying late or overnight, you are able to enjoy the Light Garden. Once it starts getting dark, beautiful lights are turned on and can be enjoyed by the visitors (winter: after 5 p.m, summer: after 7 p.m.). Enjoy your time with your loved ones at the beautiful garden while making great memories and taking great photos!
