Have you ever wanted to find the perfect place to watch the sunset while enjoying a delicious treat? Rahyo Cafe is in the perfect location on the outskirts of Songtan, which creates a wonderful blend of the city architecture while also having a mountain view. I found myself lost in the peaceful sounds of the wind and birds while gazing at the mountains waiting for the sun to set.

If you begin to feel chilly they have plenty of seating inside while not sacrificing the amazing view! The inside of the cafe is adorned in whites and golds with quite a few statement pieces including beautiful artwork. Whether indoor or outdoor the entire cafe creates a serene calming feeling. There are a few different seating options as well as an adorable closed off area which I would use if I wanted to read or work on my laptop with fewer distractions. The cafe also has free wifi which also makes it an excellent place to sit and get some work done.

The menu is in both English and Korean making it more accessible to foreigners. They have a good selection of coffee drinks and delicious desserts! I ordered a caramel macchiato but there are several drink options including espresso, americano, cafe latte, black coffee and a few tea options. My table mate ordered the waffle as a dessert, which came with syrup and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream! They brought our orders out to us and we were immediately excited. Everything is plated in a way that makes you want to take a picture.

Speaking of, if you love a good photo opportunity this cafe definitely hits the mark, with the scenery and and cute decor. Every person at the cafe came in and took several photos as they have an adorable corner with a rope swing. If you don’t have a person to take your photo they have set up a mirror in front of the swing making it very selfie accessible.
