Ever wanted to take your Korean chicken experience to the next level?! Come down and try the spiciest dish in Pyeongtaek at Gungye Pyegye Chicken!

Pyegye chicken is a traditional cuisine from the Pyeongtaek province. This restaurant in particular is the oldest and most famous in the area. It has also won many awards for their taste and featured on TV multiple times.

The menu is quite simple at this particular restaurant. The top three black blocks are the three portion sizes from left to right: large, medium, and small. You can also order side dishes such as a steam egg bowl, bowl of rice, or mixed fried rice.

Pyegye chicken is made from old chickens that can no longer lay eggs. Cooking older chickens means a chewier meat that is both tender and tasty! Throw in some spicy pepper sauce and you have a meal that will certainly make your mouth water.

The portion below is or small for 15000 won, perfect for two people. The dish consists of chicken chunks, onions, and boiled eggs, all covered in spicy sauce. The boiled eggs are actually eggs that the chicken could not lay anymore due to age. Radish cubes are also provided to help balance the flavor and spice. Don't forget to drink plenty of cold water while eating!

When you're all done eating the chicken, ask for 볶음밥 at only 2000 won to finish the meal! Yum!
