Pyeongtaek Model Restaurant: Blue Opera [PIEF Foreign Reporter]

Blue Opera is an excellent restaurant just steps outside of Osan Airbase in Songtan. Located right at the beginning of the Songtan Entertainment District, It is very easy to see as it has very interesting architecture and artwork on the outside of the building. The color scheme is that of blues and greys which gives it an upscale feeling.

Pizza food option

There are several places to sit, including outside seating, but don’t worry because they even have an overhang to keep you out of the sun or the rain. You can also choose to sit at the bar or a table of four people. There is a menu placed at every table, once you have made your selection you must go up to the register to order. The staff speak both Korean and English, making it very accessible for foreigners, as well as the location being great for shopping after you eat.

Risotto

Guinness

They have many food and drink options to choose from, and they have a full bar for alcoholic drink options. At our table we each ordered a drink and a meal. My husband ordered a risotto and it was incredible, which he paired with a Guinness, our friends ordered a pizza which looked amazing and I ordered their fajitas and a lime mojito, and very much enjoyed it. I will definitely be returning for a mojito in the future.

Fagita's

Overall with the scenery and the delicious food, I can understand why this restaurant is considered one of Pyeongtaek’s safe and model dining establishments. I highly recommend grabbing yourself a drink and enjoying some delicious food!
