In May, an indoor badminton stadium has opened in Ichung Leports Park! Inside the building, there are a weightlifting area, wrestling mats, ssireum (Korean wrestling) rings, and newly opened badminton courts which take up the entire second floor.
The Ichung indoor badminton stadium is an energy efficient building. At the entrance, you may find a plaque that is engraved with ‘certified green architecture.’
There are eleven badminton courts, lockers and shower rooms on the second floor. When using the badminton court, you must always wear badminton shoes and a mask. The admission fee is 2,000 KRW (for 3 hours) until July 31 and will be increased on August 1.
You don't have to worry about parking at Ichung Leports Park as there is a spacious parking lot in front of the building. Currently, a part of the parking lot is used for visitors receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.
The indoor badminton stadium opens from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., but if there are not enough users, it may close at 9 p.m. The water dispenser is located outside the building. Make sure to bring your ticket with you as you will need it when returning back to the court!
