There is a very popular pub in Pyeongtaek that Koreans love to visit. It is called “Yukgapeochi.” Its main menus are beef tartare, salmon, and small octopus. But there are many more menus available including mungtigi (beef tartare cut in squares), yukhoe (beef tartare sliced in long pieces), deep-fried beef, mulhoe (raw fish in cold broth), yukjeon (beef pancake), etc. Besides from delicious food, Yukgapoechi is famous for its friendly services.
The pub has a wide range of alcoholic beverages. There are different kinds of soju and beer that you can choose! You can also order the special Chanel Soju that is served in a bottle with a Chanel logo. The soju shot glasses also have cute fish drawn on them! When you pour soju in it, it will be look like a fish swimming in the water. :) Other than soju and beer, you may find makgeolli (rice wine) and bokbunjasul (raspberry wine).
All menus are served with a beef and radish soup and main menus would come with various sauces. The beef ramyeon or rice balls with beef tartare are sometimes served for free by the chef. This is one of the many reasons that explains the popularity of the restaurant! The chef’s so generous and offers great free services.
Yukgapeochi is open everyday from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. but the hours may change depending on the social distancing rules. Please note that after 10 p.m., it offers delivery or to go only!
