Are you looking for a comfortable atmosphere to communicate with a friend while enjoying homemade traditional tea? Maybe somewhere, way from the loud, fast-paced city style atmosphere into a suburban feel of a hometown?
Then I would recommend HaeryuMum Harry (Sweet rain during a drought) Cafe located in Pyeongtaek about 10 min. from Newcore shopping center.
This handmade traditional tea café offers teas from all sorts of plants to the modern-day teas and coffees of today.
When we were heading towards the tea shop, my first thought was, “Really a coffee/ tea shop located here? There is Nothing but farmland!” But as we got closer, we saw a building next a pretty garden with a spacious parking lot in front of the cafe.

Definitely this is a place that people do not know about yet. There are not many reviews about this cafe’ and it was not overcrowded with people. When we arrived, I noticed the peaceful and quiet surrounding with its pretty decoration displayed inside and outside of the cafe’.
When you first stepped into the cafe the aroma of coffee didn’t overwhelm the room, but the sweat scent of tea filled the café. As you look around, the stairway made of wood in the middle of the hall stood out first; and due to the large windows surrounding the building the natural light made it feel bright and comfortable.

At the entrance next to the counter, you will see a shelf full of handmade traditional tea plans, berries, and flowers displayed in bottles; and in front of the shelf a glass showcase of various cakes and fruit teas. On the side of the counter was a table with containers of all natural handmade items that were for sale.
Colorful Unique teas |
As we were picking and choosing our drinks, I could see many of the traditional teas such as Jujube tea, ginger tea, ssanghwa tea, and ginseng tea; but along with this were many unique and colorful teas I have never tasted. The varieties of teas were overwhelming, and I wanted to try all the rare and special teas they had offered.
As we took our seat and stared to sip on the colorful natural sweat teas in the delicate glass teacups, I started to look around the layout of the room. The light fixtures on the roof gave the place a romantic feel and I immediately thought, I want to return here with my husband, after our date night dinner.
