Cold weather is approaching! During this season, who would refuse to warm soup and a rice bowl? LOL. Today, We will introduce a must-go Japanese restaurant in Pyeongtaek which is pretty famous especially for good food hunter tourist.

Theres a lot of famous Japanese restaurant Pyeongtaek. One of these is "Tendong~Gurume" which from its name, specializes Tendon. Ten-don is a Japanese-style rice bowl topped with tempura (any food lightly battered and fried).Originally, it was called tempura-don (天ぷら丼), but shortened to “Ten-don”.

Tendon Gurume is a long and narrow kind of restaurant with a warm and elegant ambience. Their colorful tableware and wall art also shows the Japanese side of the place. It has variety of seats good for 4 persons and you can request baby chair or bring your baby’s stroller just incase.

| Food We ordered |
Based on our experience, We arrived at the restaurant at 2pm and waited for a short time. The waiting time is likely to be longer during lunch and dinner time. We ordered three kinds of their menu which are listed below.
호르몬 에비 텐동/ Hormone Ebi Tendong: colon, fried shrimp, fried pepper, poached egg and fried seaweed.
구루메 텐동/ Gurume Tendong: fried shrimp, fried lotus root, fried eggplant, fried pepper, enoki mushroom, fried seaweed and poached egg.
사케 아나고 텐동/ Sake Anago Tendong; fresh salmon, fried eel,fried pepper, fried seaweed and poached egg.
Basic side dish: pickled radish, pickled chili, Japanese egg custard and miso soup.
