As the weather gets colder, many people will look for a place that will help them stay warm and cozy. There is a perfect place in Pyeongtaek that you can hang out with your friends indoors. It is a room cafe called ‘Cozy Room.’

For those who do not know what the room cafe is, it is a cafe that consists of many small rooms. The size of the rooms are usually for two to three people and each room is partitioned by curtains or walls. In addition, each room has a small television, game consoles, etc. making it a perfect place to hang out with friends.

Upon entering, you will be given a room number, one bowl to fill with snacks, and cups according to the number of the party. No extra bowl and cups will be given, so you should keep them clean while using.

There is an assortment of snacks prepared next to the entrance. By just paying 8,000 KRW of entrance fee per person, you can enjoy all the snacks you want. There is a variety of food including instant cup ramyeon (noodles), regular ramyeon, coffee, toast, cookies, and drinks. One ramyeon is free per person but it costs 1,000 KRW for additional one. While most of the foods are free, you should remember that you will have to pay an extra 5,000 KRW for environmental charges if you have leftovers! Also, you cannot take leftovers out of the cafe.

There are also many board games available next to the self-service bar. The board games include Halli Galli, Clue, Blue Marble (Korean Monopoly), Rummikub, etc. If there is nobody waiting to use the room, you can stay at your designated room for as long as you want. But if there’s a waiting line, you may have to use the room upto two-hours. You can also bring your own snacks or order delivery food inside the room, which makes it an amazing place to spend time during the winter (No alcoholic beverages allowed).

Business hours are from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. Please note that the self-service bar closes at 10:30 p.m. When you’re done using the room, you must return the bowl and cups that you used to the return-tray area.
