Photobooth Studio near Osan AB City Hall [PIEF Foreign Reporter]

If you’ve been to popular tourist areas in Seoul like Hongdae, you have probably seen the abundance of photobooth stores lining the streets. They are a favorite pastime of mine whenever I am visiting Seoul, but I had no idea there was an adorable one called Insaeng Nekeot close by to Osan Air Base in the City Hall area.

On the second floor in the building across from Olive Young, there is a girly fun self-studio. The shop is completely unmanned with no employees, but full of props and photobooths with various different background colors. If you are familiar with photobooths in the states, these are a fun prop at weddings or other events, but these self-studios take it to the next level.

Prop Area

When you walk inside, you’re hit by an overload of cute areas to take photos and a wide variety of props to choose from including hats, sunglasses, wigs etc. For 4,000 won you get two cut photo strips of four pictures which is perfect for you and a friend! Also, in the booth you have the option to have timed photos where you get about 10 seconds before each shot or you can choose to take the photos yourself with a capture button. You also have the option to retake photos if you aren’t happy with the original four.

Instagramable photo-op

Once you’ve taken your photos there are various areas in the store that you can take pictures with your photo strip, or you can continue to take cute photos with the props. There also are a few mirrors with seats in front of them so you can get the perfect mirror selfie. They also have various backgrounds from flowers to foliage to pretty fabric that you can snap a photo of your photo strip.

I had such a blast with my partner trying on different headbands and taking a few pictures. She taught me some of the cute poses that I always see Korean girls doing on Instagram like “flower” where you hold your face with your hands, and it makes your hands look like leaves with your face being the flower! A bonus is if you scan the QR code at the bottom of your photos you can download for free a video that shows you a couple seconds before you took each picture which was my favorite one! This was the perfect activity to commemorate our four months of adventures. I definitely recommend to stop in on a cute night out if you’re wanting to get some fun photos to remember it by!
