Enjoying the hot weather lately? Probably NOT. That’s why we'd like to introduce to you today how to beat the heat in South Korea’s top three vacation spots.
1. Haeundae Beach, Busan
Ranked as South Korea’s number one summer vacation spot, Haeundae Beach is easy to swim in for everyone, thanks to its shallow water. There are also many popular aquariums, restaurants and hotels nearby you can check out.
2. Surfyy Beach, Yangyang, Gangwon-do.
As the name suggests, Surfyy beach is a popular summer destination among surfers. It’s free to visit, and getting a Surfyy Pass (10,000 KRW) gives you access to the sunbed zone, bean bag zone, hammock zone and more! If you don’t know how to surf, don’t worry. You can take surfing lessons there from professional surfing instructors. And if you are into yoga, you can take yoga lessons there too! Or you can chill and relax during the day and go out for some awesome beach party at night.
Interestingly, the beach had been restricted from public use for military reasons for over forty years until 2015.
3. Daecheon Beach, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do
Known for its gentle slopes and soft sand, Daecheon Beach is the largest beach in the west coast. Every July it holds its nationally famous Boryeong Mud Festival, and for this year the festival will be a month long, starting from July 16th to August 15th. It will feature some of most awesome live music performances and firework shows that will take you breath away.
Today, we looked at South Korea’s top three summer vacation spots for that perfect summer getaway. We hope you find it helpful when you are planning for this year’s summer vacation. Stay cool!
