Flu season is back! Pyeongtaek city began to push for a project to support free flu vaccinations for children, expecting mothers, and seniors on September 21st in preparation for the fall influenza epidemic and the simultaneous COVID-19 pandemic.

Vaccination distributions will start by giving two vaccination doses for children under the age of 13 began on the 21st; from October, children, women who are expecting, and senior citizens aged 75 or older will be able to receive a single-dose vaccination.

Free vaccinations will then be conducted sequentially for seniors aged 65 or older, depending on their age.

Those eligible can check vaccination times by subject and age and receive a vaccination at any nearby consigned medical institution within the designated period.

However, vaccination will not be available if visiting a hospital before the start date of the vaccination project. There is also no limit on vaccination intervals between the COVID-19 vaccine and influenza (flu) vaccine.

A total of 181 medical institutions throughout Pyeongtaek will be a part of the project providing vaccination services; locations can be checked through the announcement on the Pyeongtaek City Health Center website or vaccination doumi (helper) website.
