1. Pyeongchang (Gangwon-do) Buckwheat Flower: Also considered a Korean cuisine staple, buckwheat flowers bring a spectacular autumn scene. One of the best places to witness this beauty in pure white bloom is Pyeongchang, where the 'Pyeongchang Hyoseok Cultural Festival' is held annually. This festival was named after modern Korean writer Lee Hyo-Seok and his famous novel 'When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom' published in 1936.

2. Hadong (Gyeongsangnam-do) Cosmos: The cosmos is one of the autumn season's most widely known and popular flowers throughout Korea. During the fall, endless orange and pink cosmos flower hues flow throughout the vast fields along Hadong Bukcheon Stream.

3. Namwon (Jeollabuk-do) Pink Muhly Grass: This fluffy pink grass has drawn much attention in the last few autumn seasons and has become an attraction for locals and tourists alike. Pink muhly grass is native to the United States and is often found within Korean autumn snapshots. Lasting from mid-September through early November, there are many places throughout Korea where you get a glance at this pink fuzzy spectacle (in addition to Namwon).

 4. Sky (Haneul) Park (Seoul) Eulalia Grass: This type of grass has been variously known as silver grass, Eulalia, or Susuki grass. In Korea, it is said that Eulalia's silver fingertips wave farewell to summer and welcome in the upcoming autumn season. It was traditionally used to thatch Korean folk houses and serves as food for grazing animals. Seoul's Haneul Park holds various autumn plants and flowers, including pink muhly and cosmos.

5. Jangtaesan Natural Forest (Daejeon): A beautiful hiking trail and mountain to see some of Korea's beautiful autumn colors and leaves, the forest's hiking trail is nicely paved with wooden stairs people can utilize to hike up to the top of the mountain. There is also a stunning river along the inner and outer parts of the mountain area.
