Despite this, Koreans always find a way to get through it all, typically through soul-warming food. Though a large variety, here is Pyeongtaek Insight’s list of the top three tasty, sweet, and savory Korean snack favorites for you to keep an eye out for and try if you haven’t already.

1. Bungeoppang / Red Bean Filled Carp Pastry (붕어빵)

This sweet confection is a goldfish-shaped snack typically filled with red bean paste, and sometimes you can find custard, Nutella, and even peanut butter-filled versions. It is a popular snack commonly sold throughout Korea's fall and winter months. While sweet, its crispy outer layer and soft inside have many addicted. While offering tenderness and warmth to your stomach, it's also super affordable.

2. Odeng / Fish Cake (오뎅)

Skewered on a stick and soaked in its savory broth, consuming odeng outside on a chilly evening is almost incomparable to anything else. With a wholesome and hearty taste, it's bound to bring back warmth and feeling to your chilled fingertips. It can be found across Korea in markets, festivals, convenience stores, train stations, and even at the top of mountains.
