Experience a New Light From the Seoul Lantern Festival

Bright colors and shining lights! The Seoul Tourism Organization’s annual Seoul Lantern Festival is finally back again this year for everyone to have fun and enjoy!

Since its beginning in 2009, the Seoul Lantern Festival has become one of Seoul’s most popular representative annual festivals.

This continuous tradition is celebrated by displaying various large light sculptures and LED lanterns along the famous Cheonggyecheon Stream. However, this year’s festival has shifted its typical location towards the newly finished Gwanghwamun Square!

The fantastic array of lanterns capturing the many vibrant themes every year thoroughly captures the hearts of Seoul city residents and international visitors alike.

This year’s festival is scheduled to begin December 16th and run until December 31st, with light exhibition performance times starting from 18:00 to 22:00!

You wouldn’t want to miss this festival's excitement and fun for everyone of all backgrounds and ages!
