Mollick : A Slice of Jeju in Pyeongtaek

Have you had a chance to travel to Jeju or have you traveled there and wish to experience it again? Good thing Pyeongtaek has a slice of Jeju waiting for you! Visit Mollick Cafe in northern Pyeongtaek to be transported to Jeju for some delicious pastries and beverages.  Enjoy some social time with friends or take advantage of the peaceful environment to relax a bit.  Mollick Cafe has its own porous volcanic rock and Dol Hareubang stone statues which help to promote tranquility, bring calmness, and provide protection.  Visiting this cafe definitely is a little taste of being on a getaway vacation to Jeju itself!

Mollick Cafe boasts a lovely selection of breaded pastries and desserts.  For the largest selection and variety, visit on a weekend or holiday. The most famous and unique dessert offered by Mollick is the yakgwa bread that is only sold on weekends.

The yakgwa bread is a visually appealing dessert bread with a surface coated with thick and sweet syrup to enhance the texture. Other unique pastry and dessert options include a black sesame chocolate cake and fruit-topped pastry pies. Although all the pastries and breads looked amazing, I was most pleased with the sweet pumpkin cheesecake that has a delightfully simple crust, followed by a subtle and not too sweet pumpkin puree, and then topped with a cheesecake layer.  Every morsel of the sweet pumpkin cheesecake was devoured and I will be back for more!

Mollick Cafe's beverage selection is quite extensive and includes drinks such as red lotus flower latte, jeju matcha tea, apricot flower milk tea, and more!  You can even enjoy the Jeju tangerine juice in a bottle shaped like a Dol Hareubang statue - delicious, tangy, and refreshing!  The freshly-made beverages are made with such care and creativity - drinkable art!  Once you have ordered your dessert and beverage be sure to find the perfect spot indoors or out to enjoy them!  Mollick Cafe has recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, and I hope there are many, many more anniversaries to come!  Thank you for a wonderful experience, Mollick Cafe!
