Pyeongtaek City Opens Water Play Areas for Summer Fun

Pyeongtaek City has announced the opening of its children's water play areas just in time for the summer season. Starting from June 22nd, families can enjoy splashing and cooling off at 13 designated locations across the city.

The water play areas are distributed throughout Pyeongtaek City, with 6 in the southern region (Baemi, Sinheung, Segyo, Wonpyeong, Muljanggu, Naeri Cultural Park), 4 in the northern region (Sopung Garden, Sinjang, Godeok Riverside, Buraksan Cultural Park), and 3 in the western region (Hyeonhwa, Dogok, Suchon Park).

The water play areas will operate on weekends from June 22nd to July 14th. From July 19th to August 18th, they will expand their schedule to include weekdays, perfect for families looking to beat the summer heat during the vacation period.

Operating hours are set from 1 PM to 5 PM, featuring 45-minute play sessions followed by a 15-minute break. Please note that every Monday, the facilities will be closed for routine maintenance and thorough cleaning. However, organizers plan to remain flexible, adjusting operations as necessary based on weather conditions and site maintenance requirements.

The city has taken comprehensive measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Daily replacement of tap water, bi-monthly water quality inspections, and the presence of at least 2 trained safety officers per facility are part of their commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

For families in Pyeongtaek City and beyond, these water play areas promise a refreshing escape and a fun-filled summer adventure for children.
