Hana Bank Opens Pyeongtaek Foreigners’ Center Branch to Enhance Services for International Customers

Hana Bank has announced the opening of its "Pyeongtaek Foreigners’ Center Branch" in Pyeongtaek-dong, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, on the 19th, specifically designed to serve foreign customers.

The "Pyeongtaek Foreigners’ Center Branch" offers a variety of services tailored for non-Korean clients, including an AI-based real-time multilingual translation system, digital devices to assist with banking transactions, and a program that provides guidance in multiple languages for document preparation.

The branch has also staffed employees who can provide emotional support and ensure that foreign customers feel comfortable during their visits.

To accommodate foreign workers who find it difficult to visit during weekdays, the branch offers weekend banking services, operating every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The real-time multilingual translation service supports 38 languages, including English, Thai, and Malay. Customers can speak in their native language, and the system will display the translated conversation on a transparent screen for the bank staff in the corresponding language.

Additionally, the branch includes a community space dedicated to foreigners, where various activities such as Korean language classes and cultural exchanges can be organized in collaboration with local foreigner support organizations in the Pyeongtaek area.
