For a relaxed outdoor dining experience without the hassle of setting up your own gear, Forest Doil (포레스트도일) is worth a visit. Spread across 1,200 pyeong in Doil-dong, this camping-style BBQ venue offers private tents, charcoal grills, and a natural setting that makes it feel like a genuine outdoor escape, all within easy reach of central Pyeongtaek.
Upon arrival, guests pick up their meat, sides, and drinks from the on-site shop, collect tableware from the central self-service bar, and head to their reserved tent to grill at their own pace. Tent rental fees include charcoal, a grill, tableware, disposable items, and bottled water. Free side dishes include unlimited kimchi, ssam vegetables, garlic, and soybean paste stew. Forest Doil only serves Jeju pork: samgyeopsal, moksal, and ogyeopsal are all available, along with additional options such as mushrooms, sausages, and grilling cheese.
Each session runs for four hours and is divided into two time slots: 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 in summer (with the 18:00 slot shifted to 17:00 in winter). Tent options range from standard four-person setups to a large group tent accommodating up to 20 people, with a maximum capacity of 60 guests across the full venue. Tents are equipped with air conditioning and heating, making the space comfortable year-round. Pet-friendly tents (limited to tents 1 through 4) are also available.
The venue is well equipped for families. A sandpit, trampoline (for children under 7), and free equipment rentals, including badminton and board games, help keep younger visitors entertained. The second floor houses a self-service café, arcade room, and outdoor terrace. Weekly events such as face painting and animal visits are also organized throughout the season.
Outside food is not permitted, though corkage is available for wine and spirits at 20,000 KRW per bottle. A large parking lot with space for over 40 vehicles is available on-site.
