Pyeongtaek Expands Summer Water Playgrounds to 17 Locations

The City of Pyeongtaek will operate 17 public water playgrounds from June 13 to August 23, providing families with more places to cool off during the summer.

This year, two new water playgrounds have been added at Yeoyeom Neighborhood Park and Mosan Neighborhood Park, increasing the total number of locations from 15 to 17. The city has also extended operating hours by opening one hour earlier, with daily operations now beginning at 11:00 a.m. instead of noon. As a result, the number of daily operating sessions has increased from five to six.

The water playgrounds will operate in three phases:
Phase 1: June 13 – July 19
Phase 2: July 21 – August 16
Phase 3: August 17 – August 23

All playgrounds will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each operating session lasts 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute break, for a total of six sessions each day.

The facilities are open to elementary school-aged children and younger, while middle school students and older are not permitted to use the water playgrounds.

The water playgrounds will be closed every Monday, as well as during rainy weather or severe weather conditions to ensure visitors' safety.
