Pyeongtaek Jije Station has begun integrated KTX and SRT operations as of September 1, 2026, providing passengers with more frequent train services, expanded routes, and greater convenience when traveling from Pyeongtaek.
Under the new system, the number of daily train services at Pyeongtaek Jije Station has increased from 70 to 92, adding up to 22 more services per day. Seat availability has also been expanded, with up to 410 additional seats offered daily.
Train services have been expanded across several major routes, including the Gyeongbu Line, Honam Line, Gyeongjeon Line, Donghae Line, and Jeolla Line. The Gyeongbu Line has added three services per day, while the Honam Line has added nine, making it easier for passengers in Pyeongtaek to travel to destinations across the country.
The integrated system also makes train reservations more convenient. Passengers can use the integrated Korail+ app to check and reserve train services in one place, without having to compare services across separate platforms.
KTX fares have also been reduced by an average of 10 percent. For example, the fare between Seoul and Busan has decreased from KRW 59,800 to KRW 54,400, while the fare between Yongsan and Gwangju-Songjeong has decreased from KRW 46,800 to KRW 42,000.
Passengers can also receive additional benefits, including 5 percent mileage on KTX payments and a 30 percent discount on regular train fares when transferring from KTX to a regular train service.
With more frequent services, expanded routes, lower fares, and additional travel benefits, Pyeongtaek Jije Station is becoming an increasingly important transportation hub connecting Pyeongtaek with destinations across Korea.
